🐾 Meet One of Our School Therapy Dogs! 🐶

Here to bring smiles, support, and snuggles!

Rollo is one of our 4 therapy dogs here at EMS. His homeroom is with Ms. Willette in a 8th grade science room but he loves to meet all the students in the mornings!

🌟 What Does a Therapy Dog Do?

A school therapy dog is specially trained to:

  • Comfort students who are feeling sad, stressed, or anxious

  • Help kids feel calm during tests or difficult days

  • Encourage reading by being a quiet, friendly listener

  • Teach kindness, empathy, and responsibility

🎓 Why Is a Therapy Dog at School?

Because learning is easier when you're feeling your best! Therapy dogs help create a peaceful, positive environment so students can:

  • Focus better

  • Feel safer

  • Enjoy coming to school

🧠 Did You Know?

  • Petting a dog can lower your stress and heart rate

  • Students often feel more confident reading aloud to a dog than a person

  • Therapy dogs don’t judge — they just love unconditionally

  • Just 10 minutes with a dog can boost your mood!
